Our favourite beaches to visit whilst on holiday at Swallow Cottage

Local Beaches

At Talland Bay, you will discover two tranquil beaches that are ideal for swimming, regardless of the tides. Additionally, if you have an affinity for fishing, these beaches provide an excellent location for indulging in your hobby. Rest assured that all your essential needs will be catered to, as the convenience of a café and restroom facilities are readily accessible. This beach is dog friendly all year!

The National Trust recommends visiting Lantic Bay, which is one of their favourite spots. However, please be aware that the path to the beach is very steep. Alternatively, you can choose to walk around the Pencarrow headland, which is not as challenging. This beach is also dog friendly.

East Looe Beach – This big sandy area is maybe the most well-liked beach on this part of the coast. There is a sandy area that keeps the water shallow for a long time, perfect for children to play in without any worries. The beach is just a quick walk from Looe, great for getting some lunch.
